September Student Post

This month while working to Build Our Reading Life we've learned about briefly summarizing a text using 1-2 sentences from the beginning, middle and end of the book. We have had a heavy focus on new and interesting words and have talked in depth about using reading strategies to help ourselves get deep into the text as if we are part of the story.

Briefly tell about the book that you have read this month. 

• Write 2-3 sentences about the beginning/middle/and end of the book.(no more than 6-9 sentences about the book.)
• Tell about any new and interesting words in the text. What does the word mean as the author used it in the text?
• What reading strategies helped you understand this text. Share one of your think notes.
